Current goal: Cheechako would like to travel from geocache to geocache. Starting his journey in June 2002, his biggest wish was to make it to Alaska someday. On March 6th 2004, after 616 days and 12,051 miles he actually managed to reach that goal!

Now, after more than two years of travelling in the Great State of Alaska, enjoying countless adventures with local Alaskan cachers, Cheechako has decided to come home. If you can, please bring him back to Europe and the Netherlands.
Cheechako  Pronounced chee-CHA-ko, or chee-CHA-ker by some old-time Alaskans, the word means tenderfoot or greenhorn. According to The Chinook Jargon a 1909 dictionary of the old trading language used by traders from the Hudson's Bay Company in the early 1800s, the word cheechako comes from combining the Chinook Indian word chee, meaning new, fresh or "just now," with the Nootka Indian word chako, which means to come, to approach or to become.
